Long - Joseph

Joseph (Jake) LONG, 89, of Waveland, died Wednesday July 5 in
Culver Hospital after being seriously ill for 4 days. He was born
Sept 7, 1871 in Jacksonville, Illinois, the son of Joseph and
Violet Hann Long. Survivors include 3 sons: Ora Long of
Lafayette; Joe Long of Waveland; George Long of Los Angeles,
California; 3 daughters, Mrs. Reid Morrow of Waveland; Mrs. John
Stephens of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Rosemary Delano of Monterey,
California; 20 grandchildren; 33 greats and four great greats. He
was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter. Funeral
services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Machledt & Servies
Funeral Home with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial in
Freedom Cemetery. - kbz
